Soyeon Jung is a Data Analyst II who works with grant-funded investigators in the Department of Health Education and Behavior. She holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Georgia. Her responsibilities include managing data collected from community-based studies on health behavior and conducting secondary data analyses with publicly available national data sets. She writes data-handling programs that facilitate data linkage and analysis to compile multiple databases; develops specialized data sets for specific research projects; and creates and maintains new database systems for incoming data. She performs and interprets statistical analyses; organizes and interprets results; and contributes to methods and results sections of grant applications, manuscripts, and conference presentations. She is fluent with a variety of study designs and analytical methods, including case based surveillance, clinical observations, retrospective cohorts, survival analysis, and factor analysis. Her research interests include error control for multiple hypotheses testing, machine learning, and survival analysis.
